Role Overview:

The Solution Architect will be responsible for leading the solution architecture and owning the technology roadmaps for our iD Mobile technology estate. They will evaluate our business needs alongside our chosen implementation partners and identify how technology can deliver those needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with external partners on product roadmap alignment with iD business plans
• Collaborate with technical leads, business analysts, and project managers on technology projects
• Support strategic planning and product development roadmaps
• Work with the service improvement manager to troubleshoot incidents and optimize the operational technology stack
• Advise on future enterprise solution options, outlining risks, costs, benefits, and capabilities
• Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies to stakeholders
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and architectures
• Cultivate relationships with business stakeholders
• Review initiatives for compliance with IT standards and policies
• Engage with procurement on sourcing new technologies
• Act as sign-off for solution design with internal and external partners

The role also involves supporting operations during major incidents and working with the service improvement manager to drive efficiency and manage risks within the technology stack.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience as a Solution Architect in an eCommerce environment
• Experience working in an API-first environment
• Understanding of Azure cloud hosting
• Exposure to MuleSoft or similar integration platforms and legacy methods
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in complex IT environments and fast-paced delivery
• Ability to handle uncertainty and deliver pragmatic solutions
• Full SDLC experience in Agile & Waterfall environments
• Telco experience, MVNO experience desirable
• Knowledge of infrastructure (Cloud and on-premise), security tooling, and network integrations
• Experience with Online Charging Solutions (OCS)
• Strong problem-solving skills
