Job Description

The Solution Validation Growth (SVG) team within Consumer Payments is seeking a technically inclined Product Manager with a passion for product ownership to support our growth and launch of new features and services. This role reports to the Validation vertical within SVG.

The Technical Product Manager will have hands-on experience and be responsible for:

1. Collaborating with Visa's technology and product teams to understand new initiatives and their impact on client projects, building the Validation platform for Sandbox and Production environments, and acting as the Product Engineer for this platform.
2. Designing and developing proof of concept to validate user interaction flows documented by UX designers, Product, and Solution Architects.
3. Discussing technical implementation details with architects and technical teams.
4. Working with engineering teams to develop robust, scalable payment processing platforms.
5. Identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
6. Building positive relationships with stakeholders.
7. Defining product and technical requirements, including writing detailed user stories for complex features.
8. Ensuring the final product meets business requirements through close collaboration with development and QA teams.
9. Supporting compliance, security, and quality standards, particularly within the card payment ecosystem.
10. Participating in daily scrum meetings and supporting post-production validation, which may include off-hours work.

This is a hybrid position with in-office days to be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years with an advanced degree, in software engineering or related fields.
2. Proficiency in building front-end and back-end applications from scratch, with experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar technologies.
3. Expertise in web service standards (REST, SOAP, gRPC, etc.) and database technologies.
4. Experience in software development lifecycle, particularly in e-commerce or web environments.
5. Experience with large-scale, highly available web or mobile applications.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven insight skills.
7. Knowledge of Identity solutions such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, and security tokens.
8. Cryptographic knowledge and key management experience.
9. Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
10. Familiarity with Design Thinking and Agile methodologies, with experience in an agile environment.
11. Experience in the payments industry is preferred.
12. Excellent client-facing communication and organizational skills.
13. Curious mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.
