Working with us, you can expect a dynamic and warm environment where you can carve your own career path whilst contributing to the success of an early-stage enterprise. Our team embodies our company values of being ‘pioneering innovators that act with integrity and fortitude’ which have carried us from early technology conception to market entry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and build relationships with scientists and decision makers at biopharma companies that can benefit from our technology
  • Drive the entire business development pipeline, from lead generation and outreach to assisting proposal drafting, leading and closing commercial negotiations in line with KPIs
  • Attend conferences, industry events, and meetings to become a respected voice for the company
  • Ensure outreach, record keeping, conference lead up and follow up is conducted in a disciplined and deliberate manner using tools such as a CRM
  • Work closely with the executive and technical teams to refine positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies
  • Collect, analyse and share market intelligence from desk research and customer meetings to identify applications for technology and inform product strategy

What you will need

  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • A minimum of two years’ commercial or industry experience
  • Experience using and maintaining CRM systems
  • A strong desire and willingness to travel (up to 50% of the time) to build face-to-face relationships
  • An ability to collaborate closely with our R&D teams, quickly gaining a strong understanding of current and future technical capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling, and communication skills
  • A customer-centric mindset, with the ability to navigate and engage complex life sciences markets
  • Experience bringing a novel technology to market
  • An existing network in biotech, pharma, or CROs
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical companies
  • A strong understanding of commercial terms and contract frameworks
  • Startup or spin-out experience, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

What we are looking for in you

  • Entrepreneurial drive, with a hunger to build and own success
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and methodical in approach to work
  • A focus on listening to the customer and creating mutual, long-term value over short-term wins
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to extract key insights and act on them
  • Resourceful, agile, and output-driven; able to push projects forward independently

What we offer

  • Be part of a startup at a pivotal early stage
  • Work alongside world-class scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs

  • £45-60K starting salary with equity opportunities
  • A chance to help shape the future of drug development
  • Team building and social activities

About NANOVERY

Nanovery was founded in 2018 with a mission is to empower the development of next generation therapies and diagnostics with our NAN-based platform for quantifying nucleic acid sequences.

We look for dynamic, hard-working people who are motivated by challenging problems. If you share our commitment to excellence, we would love to hear from you.

More on Nucleic Acid Nanorobotics (NANs)

NANOVERY are leading experts in DNA nanotechnology. This is an area of science that treats synthetic DNA as a biocompatible material for building objects or performing tasks and computation.

NANs use the predictable behaviours of this synthetic DNA to create nanoscale devices which perform useful autonomous behaviours, hence the term ‘nanorobot’.

You may imagine a DNA/RNA sequence as an input to our NANs, triggering a rapid cascade of reactions between DNA strands that amplify a signal. We measure the output of this using fluorescence using a plate reader, giving a quantitative readout.

NANOVERY is an equal opportunities employer - We encourage people of all backgrounds, genders, and abilities to apply.

Any pre-application queries can be sent to contact Roma Galloway (COO) (she/her) at [emailprotected] .

Interview process - First stage: Preliminary call, Second stage: Competency-based interview and assessment Third stage: Culture and fit interview with team and CEO.

The deadline for this application is Friday the 6th of June 2025 with interviews being held in the 2nd/3rd week of June 2025.

By making this application, you confirm your consent for NANOVERY to hold details of your application and associated personal information strictly for recruitment purposes.
