This is a senior leadership position responsible for the successful delivery of the Markerstudy Change Portfolio, overseeing the Head of Change Delivery roles and their teams.
This role is hybrid and can be based in Manchester, London, Southport, Stoke-on-Trent, Peterborough, or Portsmouth.
Typical Accountabilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the Change Portfolio through appropriate Programmes and Projects.
- Oversee and line manage the Head of Change Delivery roles and their teams.
- Collaborate with the Director of Change Strategy and the Head of PMO to design and update the Portfolio structure.
- Monitor Portfolio performance against KPIs and take corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Board and C-suite levels.
- Establish clear responsibilities within the Change Leadership Team, including Change Strategy, Change Delivery, and the PMO.
- Support teams in removing blockers and resolving escalations.
Assurance
- Ensure first-line Quality Assurance for the Portfolio, Programmes, and Projects.
- Collaborate with the PMO to improve QA processes.
- Make decisions within delegated authority limits.
- Work with the Head of PMO on Risk Management and dependency management.
Process Improvement
- Lead improvements to delivery processes, frameworks, and tools to reduce cycle times and costs.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Other Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Chief Change Officer when required.
- Maintain professional development and stay current with industry trends.
- Support and coach team members.
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience managing complex Change Portfolios (GBP25m+).
- Leadership experience with Heads of Functions and Programme Managers.
- Proven delivery of complex change in relevant industries such as Financial Services, Retail, or Technology.
- Stakeholder management across all levels.
- Knowledge of delivery methods like Waterfall and Agile at scale.
- Insurance industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
