Base pay range

Job Title: Remote Customer Assistant – E-commerce

Location: London (Remote – UK Based)

Salary: £11.50 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time / Flexible

The Role:

As a Remote Customer Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers engaging with a fast-growing online store. You'll handle inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure every customer receives outstanding support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, live chat, and occasionally by phone
  • Provide product information and order updates clearly and accurately
  • Resolve complaints or escalate complex issues where necessary
  • Process returns, refunds, and exchanges
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve the customer experience

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Calm, empathetic, and solution-focused attitude
  • Previous customer service or e-commerce experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Comfortable using online customer service platforms (e.g. Zendesk, Freshdesk)
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet home working setup
