Full Job Description

A global specialist manufacturer with an impressive history and presence within their industry is looking to recruit a mechanically biased Senior Manufacturing Technician. Joining a talented manufacturing team, the Senior Manufacturing Technician will ensure that the company's high-tech products are fully assembled and tested before leaving for customers.

This is a hands-on mechanical role ideally suited for someone passionate about mechanical assembly and production work. The company's products feature a combination of mechanical components, making each workday varied, as each product may require a slightly different build to meet its design specifications. Key experience required includes familiarity with UHV, Ultra High Vacuum equipment, and pumping technology.

The successful Senior Manufacturing Technician should possess the following experience and skills:

• A recognised relevant engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ, etc.
• Good practical knowledge of skills such as machining, welding, leak detection, mechanical assembly, electrical and electronic assembly, wiring looms, hard and soft soldering, and bench assemblies.
• Experience with UHV – Ultra High Vacuum equipment.
• Experience within a similar manufacturing or production role.
• Understanding of production processes.
• An analytical approach and technical aptitude for fault finding and repair.
• A high level of technical and product knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to all customers.
