Job Description:

Warner Scott is currently partnered with a boutique M&A consultancy seeking to hire a Corporate Finance Director or Partner. The MD of the firm requires someone entrepreneurial, with a proven track record in winning business in the M&A market. The successful candidate will gain exposure to large corporate clients and complex deals, along with a lucrative fee sharing scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Originate and Develop New Business Opportunities: Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and leveraging existing relationships. Focus on UK mid-market M&A sectors.
  • Lead End-to-End Transaction Execution: Manage transactions from initial engagement to completion, including financial analysis, valuation, deal structuring, negotiation, and due diligence coordination.
  • Deliver Strategic Corporate Finance Advice: Provide tailored advice on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, capital raising, and growth strategies to business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors.
  • Build and Deepen Client Relationships: Cultivate long-term partnerships with high-value advisory services, maintaining professionalism and discretion.
  • Develop and Mentor Junior Talent: Support analysts and associates through coaching, review, and sharing insights, fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Contribute to Growth and Strategy: Identify strategic opportunities, refine service offerings, and support branding, recruitment, or market positioning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or related fields, with a focus on M&A and capital markets.
  • Proven success in originating and executing complex transactions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for building trusted client relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA are highly desirable.
