Market 36 Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Collections Agent on behalf of our client based in Braintree, on a temporary to permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling to various customer sites within your region to collect a wide range of redundant IT equipment, including Notebooks, Systems, Printers, TFTs, Servers, Networking, Mobile devices, and more. You will need to capture device serial numbers and customer asset numbers to facilitate traceability through our process. Ensuring the safe and secure transportation of assets to our processing facility is essential. You must follow correct procedures to maintain the integrity and security of the work carried out.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Occasionally, out-of-hours or long-distance collections may be required, which could necessitate early or late starts or overnight stays.
• Visit customer premises to collect redundant IT equipment.
• Work with team members to ensure depot targets are achieved.
• Provide excellent customer service during collection visits.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Complete collection documentation accurately.
• Ensure all asset and serial data is captured on-site for accurate traceability.
• Communicate with the Scheduling team to escalate issues or variations on-site.
• Safely load and secure IT equipment in the collection van to prevent damage during transportation.
• Be flexible with scheduled routes, core working hours, and adapt to last-minute changes.
• Willingness to work away from home on occasion.
• Conduct routine inspections of the collection van and report any maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the collection vehicle.
• Adhere to Company Policies & Procedures, including HR, Health & Safety, ISO Certifications, and other industry standards.
• Maintain site security and follow security policies and procedures.
• Practice good housekeeping.
• Achieve individual targets set by the line manager.
• Keep the work vehicle clean and contribute to departmental organization.
• Follow any other reasonable instructions from management.

Experience, Education & Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in driving or logistics roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with handling and transporting IT equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm.
