Job Description:

Media Specialist TAMs work across all AWS Elemental media products and CloudFront to apply their product knowledge to key customer projects during the specification, development, deployment, and acceptance phases to deploy video workflows.

Media Specialist TAMs collaborate with Media Specialist Solutions Architects (SAs) in AWS Sales to understand customer needs and design relevant media solutions. They also work closely with customers to transition solutions from conceptual design to long-term production operations. When customized solutions are needed, they may work with AWS Professional Services, representing the operational needs of the customer and aligning with AWS Support capabilities. While not expected to develop software, a background in software development is valuable for understanding complex customer needs and driving software solutions.

Media Specialist TAMs take overall ownership of the operational health of deployed solutions, contributing to customer success. They work closely with AWS Support TAMs, who oversee AWS Enterprise Support customers. The role emphasizes ongoing support and deep domain-focused guidance throughout the customer lifecycle.

As a Senior Media Specialist TAM, you will:

  1. Complete onboarding and off-boarding requirements for key customers.
  2. Own customer health dashboards for media workflows, collaborating with AWS TAMs and Technical Project Managers.
  3. Work across AWS Elemental products and with AWS Solutions Architects to define project requirements and scope feature tickets.
  4. Interface with customer project managers and technical owners to understand requirements and deliver product releases.
  5. Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize customer requirements.
  6. Work with Engineering managers to ensure delivery of product features.
  7. Advocate for the availability of customer test environments.
  8. Verify product features and test multi-product workflows.
  9. Communicate with customers and internal teams across organizational levels.
  10. Mentor junior TAMs and Engineers.
  11. Define and implement team metrics and processes.

Note: This role requires the ability to work from an AWS office in London.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience using the public cloud as a developer, architect, technical program manager, or implementer
  • 4+ years technical project management, technical account management, or professional services consulting experience with customer-facing responsibilities
  • 2+ years experience (and credibility) in a technical role within a software engineering-focused business
  • 3+ years experience in the Media & Entertainment market segment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a technical lead in an enterprise or customer-facing environment
  • 4+ years’ software engineering experience
  • Knowledge of video processing technologies (MPEG2 / AVC/ HEVC/ MPEGTS)
  • Experience with adaptive bitrate video streaming and delivery technologies
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud providers in a 24x7 operational environment
