Job summary

A leading manufacturer of collagen products is seeking a Quality Laboratory Technician for their Supply Chain team in Moodiesburn. The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, performing laboratory tasks, and maintaining equipment. Ideal candidates will have a BSc or HND in a scientific field and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years relevant laboratory experience.
  • Experience in the food industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP/GLP standards required.

We are seeking a Quality Laboratory Technician for our Supply Chain team. If you have the experience and skills, we would love to hear from you.

About the role:
  1. Implement company and departmental policies to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, COSHH, and Risk Assessment requirements.
  2. Plan your workload to balance rapid delivery with quality results, supporting daily laboratory activities.
  3. Perform routine and non-routine tasks accurately to produce reliable data for scientific investigations.
  4. Follow strict analysis methodologies.
  5. Record, analyze, and interpret data to present findings to senior colleagues.
  6. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including fume cupboards, deionisers, autoclaves, under supervision.
  7. Participate in improving methods and procedures.
  8. Update knowledge through training and reading technical publications.
About you:
  1. Minimum 2 years relevant laboratory experience.
  2. Experience in the food industry is preferred but not essential.
  3. Experience working to GMP/GLP standards.
  4. Knowledge of NIR software, HPLC, GC, Thermal Conductivity, AAS, wet chemistry, and microbiology.
  5. Good mathematical skills.
  6. Detail-oriented, well-organized, with good time management and multitasking abilities.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. BSc in a scientific field or HND, and a full clean driving license.
