Technical Finance Director - 12-Month FTC

£100,000-£120,000 per annum

I'm currently working with a well-respected and fast-growing professional services client who is looking for an exceptional Technical Finance Director to join their senior leadership team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a technically strong, commercially aware finance professional who's confident operating in a dynamic environment and delivering real value from day one.

About The Role

This is a pivotal appointment within the business. You'll be responsible for leading on all things technical finance - from ensuring compliance and enhancing internal controls, to supporting wider strategic projects across the group.

You'll work closely with the CFO and play a key role in partnering with stakeholders at all levels, providing hands-on leadership while navigating the business through a period of significant activity and change.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Taking ownership of financial compliance, controls and technical reporting across the organisation
• Acting as the go-to expert for technical accounting matters (particularly IFRS)
• Overseeing the year-end process and managing the audit relationship
• Supporting business-wide financial projects, including transformation, process improvements and potential M&A activity
• Driving quality, accuracy and timeliness across all statutory and management reporting
• Coaching and supporting a high-performing finance team, ensuring delivery of best-in-class standards
  
  

Who We're Looking For

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience
• Demonstrable technical accounting expertise (IFRS essential)
• Experience in a senior finance leadership role within a fast-paced or complex organisation
• Hands-on, detail-driven and comfortable working at both operational and strategic levels
• A confident communicator who can challenge, influence and collaborate across all areas of the business
• Available at short notice or with a relatively quick start
