We are seeking a senior or project QS for an expanding, well-respected main contractor based on site in Swindon. The project involves a £49 million design and build scheme, including offices, industrial units, and a new 5-storey steel frame car park across an expansive site over a 48-week period.
The project requires an experienced project QS to initially assist with procurement of subcontract packages, collate information on live and final accounts of subcontractors, and manage day-to-day surveying activities throughout the project.
This role primarily focuses on procurement, as the flagship scheme is built on a fast-track program. It offers exciting opportunities for a QS to demonstrate their ability and for a financially sound contractor to provide real progression opportunities.
Reporting to the MQS and working alongside the Project Manager, with the full support of the growing team, you will handle multiple packages across the site, including civils, structures, fit-out, and services. There will be opportunities to manage procurement and final accounts for additional packages as the scheme progresses.
Ideally, candidates will have experience in full-cycle surveying on site, with both build and civils elements, working with the project manager to successfully deliver schemes with head office support.
Qualifications preferred include a professional quantity surveying qualification such as HNC, ONC, or BSc, with at least 3 years of live site experience. IT literacy is essential.
This is an immediate start for the right candidate. The client has multiple live and upcoming schemes, offering ongoing work and career development opportunities.
