We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Thames Water as a Network Service Technician. This is an engaging, customer-facing role where you will resolve network challenges to ensure minimal disruption to supply. You will meet and assist diverse customers daily, working on various projects to deliver excellent service.

This role includes a van and fuel card, so a valid UK license is essential. No experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, just a desire to learn and strong customer service skills.

What you will be doing as a Network Service Technician

1. Taking ownership of customer queries, responding to and resolving issues at their locations.
2. Collaborating with contractors on planned and unplanned work, investigating water network issues like pressure problems, leakage, metering, and supply loss.
3. Assisting in controlling burst mains, including isolation for repairs and maintenance.
4. Managing valve operations, water sampling, and planning.
5. Working within a team, covering core and standby hours (on standby rota).
6. Driving between jobs, so a full UK driving license is required.

Base location: South East London, at Darenth, DA2 7SR.
Working pattern: 38 hours per week.

Requirements for the role

• Full driving license.

• Ability to complete tasks effectively.
• Excellent time management.
• Solution-focused mindset.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing or water mains and leakage is advantageous but not essential.
• Previous customer service experience in a dynamic environment is essential.
