About the Role

BAM Infrastructure is currently delivering a redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent for this high-security military naval base. Due to security requirements, BPSS level clearance is needed, which can take up to 8 weeks. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and UK residence for the last 5 years will be considered.

Your Responsibilities

1. Manage subcontractors effectively.
2. Liaise with Babcock Design and project management teams.
3. Lead health, safety, and environmental compliance through method statements, risk assessments, and briefings.
4. Supervise and mentor engineers to ensure high standards and proper record-keeping.
5. Maintain good relationships with RE staff and supply chain partners.
6. Promote a cost-conscious approach in resource utilization.
7. Support the agent in cost management, program production, and QF preparation.
8. Ensure timely and proper records for measurement and payments.
9. Implement BIM technologies per the project BIM Execution Plan.
10. Coordinate with the general foreman for work preparation and resource planning.
11. Assist in procuring materials, subcontracts, and plant.
12. Review subordinate staff performance, training, and development needs.
13. Notify the agent of potential commercial or contractual issues.

Candidate Profile

• Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent.
• CSCS Level - Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager.
• SMSTS certification.
• Proven experience as a Section Engineer.

Desirable qualifications include:

• ICE Incorporated level or equivalent.
• Experience with TW supervision or in TW projects.
• Experience with RC, marine civils, steelwork, or paint systems.
