We are looking for a tenacious and self-driven Technical Sales Manager to expand our success in the Southern UK and secure new opportunities during this period of transformation.

About the Role

Working with the Chief Sales Officer and a seasoned sales team, you will need strong communication, interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for success.

You will shape and execute sales strategies, aiming to increase turnover and profit, and grow our presence in the heat network market across new build, retrofit, and upgrade projects.

You will manage sales of Evinox’s product portfolio, including smart Heat Interface Units (HIUs), Cooling Interface Units (CIUs), prefabricated utility cupboards, and related services like energy-as-a-service, maintenance, metering, and billing.

This office-based role requires meeting clients such as ESCOs, housing providers, contractors, developers, and M&E consultants, acting as a key contact in the South, providing product recommendations, and upselling our offerings.

You will prepare tender documents with the bid team, convert opportunities, and hand over projects to operations. You’ll also deliver CPDs to clients and industry stakeholders to promote our products and value proposition.

Training and industry event attendance will support your professional growth and industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for the South to increase market share.
  • Identify and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Report on business opportunities in target markets.
  • Build a sales pipeline, forecast, and update progress regularly.
  • Manage the sales process to secure projects aligned with strategy and KPIs.
  • Promote Evinox’s vision, strategy, and value to stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at meetings and industry events.
  • Understand customer needs and project timelines.
  • Present our product range to clients, keeping our offerings top of mind.
  • Assist with bid submissions, coordinating with internal teams.
  • Negotiate deals and close sales with stakeholders.
  • Report sales performance regularly to the Chief Sales Officer.
  • Gain comprehensive product knowledge and provide technical advice.
  • Gather customer feedback and relay insights to engineering and design teams.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
  • Maintain CRM records of activities and opportunities.
  • Track performance against targets and KPIs.

What You Bring

  • Passion for communal and district heating networks and technology’s role in the sector.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and market opportunities.
  • Experience at a technical sales engineer level.
  • Background in heat network technology, plant room design, boilers, heat pumps, or HIUs.
  • Proven sales growth and target achievement record.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with heat network analysis experience.
  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
