We are currently seeking an Environmental Advisor to support our Land & Minerals Team. You will join a team of 6 colleagues, reporting to the Environment Manager.

Location: Breedon Quarry, Derby (or nearby site within the UK)

We are looking for an Environmental Advisor with experience in technical waste assessment and/or end of waste development. The role involves travel to multiple sites, with a company car or allowance provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing guidance on environmental policies, sustainability strategies, and eco-friendly practices.
• Monitoring and improving compliance with environmental legislation and standards.
• Assessing environmental risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Reporting key environmental information to stakeholders.
• Providing technical guidance on waste acceptance, duty of care, and waste assessments.
• Developing process and system governance documents.
• Collaborating with and training stakeholders to promote awareness and best practices.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Degree or equivalent in an environmental discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills.
• Full UK driving license.
