The University of Leicester School of Business is seeking a Teaching Fellow in Criminology. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching in Criminology and Forensic Psychology, supervising projects, and enhancing the student experience through innovative practices. Candidates should have a PhD in Criminology and prior teaching experience, with a commitment to student development and curriculum improvement.
Within our School of Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy, we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Criminology to support our wide range of programmes. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching across our BSc Criminology and BSc Criminology with Forensic Psychology courses, and will contribute to the development and delivery of modules within our wider undergraduate and postgraduate sociology programmes.
In this teaching-focused role, you will:
You will hold a PhD in Criminology or a related discipline (or possess equivalent professional experience) and bring a strong grounding in core themes of criminology and forensic psychology. You will have previous experience of teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, demonstrating an ability to support high-quality student learning and provide effective feedback. Your excellent communication and presentation skills will enable you to deliver engaging and accessible learning experiences both in-person and online.
A flexible team player, you will be committed to innovation in teaching and to supporting students to reach their full potential. Experience in developing and delivering modules related to criminology and forensic psychology would be advantageous, as would a relevant teaching qualification or a commitment to achieving Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
