Electrical Controls Design Manager

Location: Somerset-UK | Full-time | Engineering / Manufacturing / Controls

Are you a forward-thinking Electrical Design expert ready to step into a role where innovation meets hands-on delivery? In this role, you’ll combine strategic oversight with practical problem-solving, taking ownership of high-quality design and specification work that drives real-world performance.

What You’ll Do

1. Lead the development of electrical designs, calculations, and specifications using E-Plan, AutoCAD, and other industry tools.
2. Provide expert technical support across projects to ensure successful, timely delivery.
3. Engage with clients, design partners, and contractors to develop robust, innovative solutions.
4. Maintain a strong operational focus, balancing hands-on involvement with team leadership.
5. Ensure all work meets the highest safety and quality standards.

What You Bring

• Strong experience in electrical controls and design, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of commissioning, testing, and installation practices.
• Proficiency in E-Plan, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
• Recognised qualification in Electrical Installation or similar.
