Job Description:

Operations Manager (Institute Manager) - Interim - 6 Months

Cedar Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of London's top 10 institutes to recruit an Operations Manager within the institute's Brain Sciences faculty, which comprises 9 divisions.

The successful candidate will work in the Prion Diseases department on a 6-month contract, with a salary range of £47.20 - £51.21 Umbrella.

The role involves working either 4 or 5 days per week in the office.

The candidate will work closely with the Institute Director and have a strong relationship with the Faculty of Brain Sciences Operations Director and other Central Professional Services team members. The role requires providing excellent service delivery to the institute's academic and research staff, continually adding value.

Responsibilities include managing the operational support services of the institute, including grant funding, budgets, ICT, HR, and people management, ensuring the smooth running of all operational aspects.

  • Experience working within a Research/Science environment in an educational institute.
  • Extensive experience in operations, including recruitment, HR, and finance.
  • The ability to start immediately with minimal support.
  • Experience working with a range of business partners.
  • Understanding of employment law and HR policies.
