Our Client

Mackie Myers is supporting a higher education institution based in London to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner.

The Role

As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will be a key member of the FP&A team. You will provide business partnering support and analysis to the commercial and business development teams across the university. Your responsibilities include forecasting, analysis, reporting, and budgeting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to add tangible value within the team and aid in decision-making for the university.

Main Duties

1. Provide financial leadership for designated areas of the university.
2. Take primary responsibility for all costings and financials related to new and existing partnerships, joint ventures, and new business initiatives.
3. Provide analysis on month-end, forecast, and planning figures.
4. Seek out and implement continuous improvement opportunities in processes, reporting, cost savings, and increased profitability.
5. Offer comprehensive business finance support from inception to implementation for new programmes and collaborations.
6. Support the annual business planning process.

The Successful Candidate

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong business relationships.
• Experience in commercial finance, business case development, and pricing strategies.
• Experience analyzing, reporting, and interpreting financial data in commercial contexts.
• Systems improvement experience.
• Ability to work proactively, independently, and dynamically.
