Effective L&D requires specialist resources to identify training needs and respond appropriately. It involves careful planning, project management, a critical-thinking and commercial mindset, and an understanding of regulatory requirements. We also focus on the latest innovations, tools, and technologies to support relevant and timely development.

Opportunity

We have an exciting opening for an Experienced Manager / Senior Manager or equivalent to join our Learning Development team. This role is ideal for a talented, high-performing, ambitious individual eager to support current initiatives and help shape our future L&D strategy during a growth phase. The role reports to the Development and Monitoring Lead (DAM).

The Learning Development team designs, curates, and creates content for the Audit programme, aiming to develop impactful, innovative solutions that meet learner needs and deliver business outcomes. The team includes technical and non-technical specialists responsible for authoring activities.

Lead authors collaborate with Business Partners and Audit SMEs to understand business objectives, translate them into learning goals, and design effective learning interventions. They utilize innovative design methodologies and support project management and facilitation activities.

The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of programmes, support broader team activities, review content, coach junior members, and contribute to initiatives like the Learning Library and Learning Culture programs.

Minimum requirements
  • Practical audit experience and understanding of financial reporting, ethics, and professional conduct.
  • Experience in designing and developing technical learning content.
  • Formal design qualifications are advantageous but not essential; equivalent experience is considered.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong relationship skills.
  • Experience with behavioural change or cultural programs is a plus.
  • Interest in personal development and delivering high-quality learning interventions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Additional information

The role is UK-based with travel to London and other locations, including residential stays for some courses.

Responsibilities include

  • Supporting programme delivery through project management and facilitation.
  • Designing and curating technical and non-technical content.

  • Supporting strategic initiatives and advocating for change where necessary.
