We're BDO, an accountancy and business advisory firm providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organisations need to navigate today's changing world.
We work with Britain's economic engine—ambitious, entrepreneurial, high-growth businesses—and directly advise their owners and management teams.
We'll broaden your horizons
Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy as an Audit Stream and is critical to our success. It helps us attract, develop, and retain talented people who take pride in their work and deliver for our business. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by developing the necessary knowledge and skills in our people, helping them reach their potential.
Effective L&D requires specialist resources to partner with the Audit Stream, identify training needs, and respond appropriately. It involves careful planning, project management, a critical-thinking and commercial mindset, and understanding regulatory requirements. We also consider the latest innovations, tools, and technology to support relevant and timely development.
We seek an experienced Manager/Senior Manager to join our Learning Development team. The role suits a high-performing, ambitious individual eager to support our current curriculum, contribute to shaping future L&D strategy, and support our growth. The role reports to the Development and Monitoring Lead (DAM).
The Learning Development team designs and curates content for our audit programmes, aiming to develop impactful, innovative solutions that meet learner needs and deliver business outcomes. The team includes technical and non-technical specialists responsible for core authoring activities.
Lead authors collaborate with Business Partners and Audit SMEs to understand business objectives, translate them into learning objectives, and design effective learning interventions using innovative methodologies and insights. They also support project management and facilitate programmes where appropriate.
The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of programmes, review content created by others, coach junior team members, drive team initiatives like our Learning Library and Culture programmes, and leverage audit experience to develop relevant content.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel to London and other offices, including residential stays for some courses.
