Warehouse Process Engineer (Construction & Logistics Focus), Corby

Location: Corby

Salary: £47,000

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Description:

This role involves supporting the construction and operation of warehouse facilities, process development, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics and warehouse operations.

Your Tasks:

1. Lead or support planning and construction phases of new warehouse builds, including layout design and infrastructure requirements.
2. Develop and refine warehouse processes for inbound, outbound, inventory control, and materials handling.
3. Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement lean methodologies.
4. Lead automation initiatives integrating systems like conveyors and robotics.
5. Manage inventory and material flow strategies to ensure efficiency and space utilization.
6. Coordinate with transportation teams for timely delivery of materials and goods.
7. Utilize logistics software and analytics tools to monitor KPIs and support data-driven decisions.
8. Implement and monitor safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA and industry standards.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in logistics engineering, especially in warehouse construction projects.
• Proficiency in WMS, AutoCAD, SAP, MS Visio, and similar software.
• Strong understanding of logistics processes, layout design, and material handling systems.
• Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
