Job description

Role

The account manager role is suited for an individual with experience in account management and business development, who takes pride in the success of their accounts through the application of our products and services. The role involves managing a focused set of enterprise accounts, developing our business partnerships by identifying areas where we can add value and grow revenue. It ensures customers feel well supported, positioning Seequent as an innovative leader in the Civil and Environmental segment and a future-oriented partner. The role targets technical, operational, and business-level contacts for opportunities, championing user growth, account growth, solution-selling, retention, and up/cross-selling, with the aim to exceed KPI targets.

The role is hands-on, customer-focused, and task-oriented, requiring technical, domain, and commercial knowledge, quick response times, problem-solving, and solution development. It contributes to the company's regional growth by developing our brand and supporting sales and account development.

It involves sharing domain, market, trend, and solution knowledge with the wider EMEA team. Success in this role depends on continuous learning, self-awareness, and development. The role collaborates across the region, leveraging capabilities within the GTM teams, Customer Solutions, and Regional Operations.

It requires domain expertise in Civil engineering to establish credibility and authority with customers. The role includes managing key existing accounts, including enterprise accounts with consultants, contractors, and asset owners.

Exceptional customer service, communication skills, and cultural awareness are essential, both internally and with global customers. The role demands collaboration, flexibility, and self-motivation to handle diverse situations.

Our expectations of you
  1. Domain expertise in market, technology, use cases, roles, language, sales cycles, and trends in Civil Ground Engineering.
  2. Work with GTM teams to provide domain knowledge on relevant opportunities.
  3. Understand pricing and service agreements thoroughly.
  4. Analyze and understand customer needs at various levels to determine suitable software solutions.
  5. Provide post-sales account management to build ongoing relationships at operational and business levels.
  6. Manage key accounts, engaging at technical, operational, and business levels, emphasizing credibility.
  7. Develop new business within existing accounts, progressing opportunities to closure, managing the full sales cycle.
  8. Coordinate and deliver high-quality demonstrations and training tailored to client needs.
  9. Lead demonstrations, provide real-world examples, and organize client visits to enhance learning.
  10. Proactively manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with Seequent’s solutions.
Skills, knowledge, and competencies

Education and Experience:

  1. At least 5 years’ experience in account management, ideally within Civil & Environment domain or software technology.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  3. Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in science, technology, engineering, math, geology, hydrogeology, earth sciences, or related fields.
  4. Experience working with international clients and understanding cultural differences.
  5. Good knowledge of Seequent’s and competitors’ products.

Skills:

  1. Attention to detail, self-motivation, and project follow-through.
  2. Effective communication across multifunctional teams.
  3. Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  4. Understanding of key technology and market trends.
