Project Director

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Director/Head of Construction to join our Sellafield team to work on a new Framework for us. You will work alongside the Framework Director within the Nuclear business.

This will include leading efforts to ensure effective mobilisation of new framework contracts and the implementation of smooth transition arrangements.

You will establish strategic partnerships with Sellafield Ltd, in order to create long-term sustainable revenues and profitable growth.

The Project Director Role

A senior member of the Framework delivery team. Responsible for managing, leading, supporting, and developing a group and/or team of technical professionals in the timely execution of operations during the pre-construction and construction phases of a project. Responsible for organizing and coordinating all construction and logistical operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety at all relevant phases of the project. Effectively communicates with all parties. Willingly participates as a collaborative team member, supporting others, and occasionally acting as Framework Director during periods of illness or holiday. Fully committed to and actively promotes all aspects of Build Sure and SRM values, culture, and behaviors throughout the project.

Your Profile

• Demonstrable experience within the construction/civil engineering industry, including management of construction activities, processes, means, and methods at a senior operational level.
• Possession of the APM PMQ (or equivalent) qualification or being a Chartered Project Professional.
• Proven track record of managing and successfully delivering a diverse portfolio of complex packages and construction project aspects.
• Technical and engineering background with extensive experience.
• Current knowledge and commercial understanding of forms of contract.
• Strong understanding of collaboration and relationship development, with proven people management skills.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels and present ideas effectively.
• Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing, and managing complex workloads.
• Developed time management skills with the ability to adapt and reprioritize tasks as necessary.
• An appreciation of leadership qualities and an understanding of how vision, values, and business objectives are linked.
