We offer opportunities to transform your world and those around you through client work, upskilling, championing equality and inclusion, or charity involvement. Our core values emphasize people first, supporting long-term development, and encouraging a growth mindset. Role description
The role is suitable for applicants with a strong building services engineering background, gained through MEP contracting, consulting, or facilities management. The candidate should have good knowledge of commercial mechanical, electrical, and public health systems, along with understanding MEP regulations and standards.
Within our Technical Due Diligence (TDD) team, the MEP Engineering Surveyor will support assessments across residential, commercial, and light industrial property portfolios, focusing on building services surveying and technical evaluations.
The primary responsibilities include assessing service installations (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Electrical, Drainage, etc.), understanding their design and condition, and providing insights into their performance and operational risks. This involves non-intrusive inspections, reviewing maintenance and compliance certifications, identifying defects, and evaluating lifecycle replacement needs, considering obsolescence. The role also involves analyzing commercial factors affecting investments, risks, lease considerations, and associated costs, along with providing mitigation recommendations.
The Surveyor will actively survey and inspect property services, prepare defect reports and audits, and engage directly with clients. For larger portfolios, supporting management and coordination efforts will be necessary to ensure quality and timely delivery.
This position offers an opportunity to deepen MEP knowledge, understand lease structures and investment strategies, and contribute to our Asset Assurance and Management services within the Lenders, Investors, and Insurers sector.
