We are currently accepting applications for the position of Quality Engineer based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Job Purpose:

To ensure products and services meet all necessary quality standards before reaching customers. The Quality Engineer identifies and resolves quality issues, improves processes, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and develop all quality-related procedures, work instructions, and processes within the management system to ensure relevance and compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, API Q1, and company policies.
  2. Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  3. Collaborate with department heads on quality control throughout production.
  4. Contribute to overall quality improvements within the company.
  5. Manage the Technical library and update procedures as needed.
  6. Coordinate calibration equipment management across sites and with suppliers.
  7. Monitor quality performance and compile monthly reports.
  8. Assess supplier HSEQ performance and prepare relevant reports for management.
  9. Conduct internal and external audits, providing improvement recommendations.
  10. Participate in third-party audits of the Management System.
  11. Produce analytical reports for meetings and reviews.
  12. Manage NDT documentation in line with standards.
  13. Maintain LOLER register and organize thorough examinations.
  14. Conduct safety checks on facilities ladders.
  15. Assist and undertake tasks for the HSEQ Manager.
  16. Deputize for the HSEQ Coordinator, supporting safety, health, environmental, and quality activities.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply specifications and standards.
  • Self-motivated with initiative, capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (Fishbone/Ishikawa, 5 Whys, 8D).
  • Understanding of inspection/testing methods, including NDT.
  • Qualified Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor (preferred).
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Proven experience in Quality Engineering or QC (degree or equivalent).
  • Experience in UK Renewables or Oil and Gas industries.
  • Knowledge of NDT documentation requirements (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and API standards (preferred).

Working Hours: 38 hours/week, Mon-Thu 07:00-15:30, Fri 07:00-13:00.
