Herefordshire Council has been working with partners to develop solutions to address Phosphate levels within the River Lugg/Wye Special Area of Conservation (SAC) to improve water quality and meet conservation targets.
The Council has independently developed pioneering solutions to improve water quality and facilitate nutrient-neutral development to meet housing needs.
One of our high-profile projects involves delivering integrated constructed wetlands for tertiary treatment of point source pollution at wastewater treatment works.
As an Environmental Technician for the wetlands project, working with the Nutrient Mitigation Lead, your responsibilities will include:
