Job Title: Full-stack.NET Developer

Contract Type: Permanent

About The Role

As a Full-stack .NET Developer you will be required to work as part of a cross-functional team comprising other developers, QA engineers, and business analysts, responsible for developing and maintaining corporate applications using C# and VB.NET and related technologies.

The role will give the ideal candidate an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of

technologies and methodologies as the focus of the .NET Development team moves from the desktop to the cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop corporate WinForms applications using .NET and related technologies to a high standard, both in terms of functional implementation and test automation.
  • Work with business analysts to assist in the conversion of business requirements into appropriate solution designs.
  • Manage source code in accordance with company policies.
  • Liaise with other stakeholders in the business as appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 4 years commercial experience developing WinForms applications using C#/VB.NET.
  • Passion for software development.
  • Good understanding of relational database management systems, ideally Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong T-SQL knowledge.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented software design and its importance for maintainability and testability in desktop applications.
  • Awareness of test automation frameworks for unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
  • Ability to accurately translate technical requirements and specifications into deliverables.
  • Good understanding of agile/lean software development methodologies.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and development methods.
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in administering continuous integration platforms.
  • Experience in Microsoft web technologies (ASP.NET, Blazer, RazorPages etc) would be beneficial.
  • Any past experience with VB6 and Microsoft Access would be advantageous
