Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking Specialist Pharmacists to join their Pharmacotherapy teams in Aberdeenshire. Specialist Pharmacist Primary Care

Locations: Garioch and Kincardine & Mearns clusters
Employment Type: Full Time/Part Time Opportunities (minimum 3 days), Monday – Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for registered Pharmacists to join Pharmacotherapy teams working across Aberdeenshire. The post holders will join a team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and be key to the ongoing provision of the Pharmacotherapy service, promoting quality and cost-effective prescribing of medicines.

The post holders will support GP practices and community hospitals, covering all aspects of medicines management in line with local and national guidelines.

Applicants may have a community or hospital pharmacy background. Good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills are essential. Experience in primary care, medicines management, and audit would be advantageous.

Independent Prescriber training will be supported if not already achieved.

Postholders will work across a wide area, involving onsite work in GP practices and remote work from an agreed base. Bases and areas of work will be discussed at interview. A full driving license is essential.
