NHS Grampian is seeking a Specialist Pharmacist for Primary Care in Aberdeenshire. The role involves managing medicines across GP practices and community hospitals. We are offering exciting opportunities for registered Pharmacists to join Pharmacotherapy teams across Aberdeenshire. Postholders will be part of a team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, vital for delivering Pharmacotherapy services and promoting quality, cost-effective prescribing practices.
The role involves supporting GP practices and community hospitals, managing all aspects of medicines management in accordance with local and national guidelines.
Applicants may have a community or hospital pharmacy background. Essential skills include good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Experience in primary care, medicines management, and audit is advantageous.
Independent Prescriber training support will be provided if not already obtained.
Postholders will work across a broad area, involving onsite work in GP practices and remote work from an agreed base. Work bases and areas will be discussed during interviews. A full driving license is essential.
