Specialist Pharmacist Primary Care

Band 7

We have opportunities available within Aberdeenshire

Garioch and Kincardine & Mearns clusters

Full Time/Part Time Opportunities (min 3 days) Monday – Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for registered Pharmacists to join Pharmacotherapy teams working across Aberdeenshire. The post holders will join a team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians and be key to the ongoing provision of the Pharmacotherapy service and promoting quality, cost-effective prescribing of medicines.

The post holders will support GP practices and community hospitals, covering all aspects of medicines management in line with local and national guidelines.

You may have a community or hospital pharmacy background. Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential. Experience of working within Primary Care, medicines management and audit would be an advantage.

Independent Prescriber training would be supported if not already achieved.

Postholders will work across a wide area, this will involve onsite working in GP Practices and remote working from an agreed base. Bases and area of work will be discussed at interview. Full driving licence essential.
