Job Description

We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Field Service Technicians to join our team in Lancaster, NY.

Precision Scale & Balance Field Service Technicians (FST) are at the frontline of delivering our signature Precision Quality Service to our diverse customer base. An FST is an expert in the installation, calibration, service, and repair of weighing equipment.

About The Role

As an FST, you are responsible for executing all aspects of field service. The essential duties and responsibilities include:

1. Inspect, calibrate, repair, and/or install weighing equipment according to OEM standards and industry regulations
2. Complete equipment repairs in our on-site shop as needed
3. Accurately complete all written documentation related to service calls, including service documents, test reports, expense reports, and driving logs
4. Comply with company policies, customer regulations, and OSHA standards
5. Maintain company equipment, tools, and inventory in good condition
6. Attend weekly safety training and other required training sessions
7. Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required
8. Follow our Code of Conduct at all times

About You (Job Requirements)

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in maintenance operations or military background
• Valid driver's license in good standing; CDL preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong electronics and mechanical skills
• Ability to use hand tools and digital test equipment
• Ability to work independently and in a team in variable environments
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 75+ pounds regularly
• Working knowledge of calibration software; experience with ProCal is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and organized

Compensation

Hourly salary ranges from $20 to $30 per hour, based on experience and driver's license type.
