About Marick

We’re Marick – an integrated events and marketing agency with a passion for producing standout content and delivering engaging live and virtual experiences. We help brands connect meaningfully with their audiences, creating positive impact and lasting impressions.

Since 2007, we’ve built a strong reputation as a professional, quality-driven, and reliable partner. Our services include:

  • Live and Virtual Events.
  • Graphic Design.
  • Video Production.
  • Corporate and Marketing Communications.

Our client base spans a variety of sectors, including energy, nuclear, engineering, aerospace, education, and the public sector.

The Opportunity

We're on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Events Manager to join our vibrant team based in Salford Quays, just outside Manchester city centre. This is an exciting opportunity to manage the event management arrangements for a variety of live and virtual events for leading brands across diverse sectors.

You’ll be leading and supporting events from end to end - often juggling multiple projects - so we’re looking for someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure. This is a client-facing role requiring confidence, initiative, and exceptional communication skills.

We’re a small but mighty agency with a strong team spirit and a huge passion for what we do. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment - read on.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and execution of the event management activities associated with live events.
  • Act as a key client contact, managing relationships with professionalism and warmth.
  • Coordinate and oversee all event logistics: registration, communications, suppliers, venues, and working with our in-house production team.
  • Support and direct other events team members.
  • Develop creative event concepts and confidently pitch them to clients.
  • Conduct venue searches, manage contracts, and carry out site visits.
  • Liaise with production teams and manage event documentation (e.g., event management plans, production schedules).
  • Manage speakers, support content delivery, and handle on-site logistics.
  • Oversee budgets, ensuring cost control and value for money.
  • Collaborate with our design team on branding, visuals, and marketing collateral.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years’ full-time experience in an events role (agency, in-house, or venue-based) with demonstrable experience of taking a lead role in event planning projects.
  • Proven experience managing live events on site.
  • Confident in direct client interaction and relationship-building.
  • Experience managing teams and working collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and admin abilities.
  • A relevant qualification in events is desirable but not essential.
  • Full driving licence and own transport.

This role will require you to travel to events, primarily across the UK, often overnight, so please only apply if you are comfortable with this.
