Job description

Gortmore is seeking a Site Engineer for an immediate start on a civils project in Melksham, beginning on the 2nd of May. The project duration is approximately 4-5 weeks, with the potential to transition to a new project afterward.

The candidate must have:

1. Previous experience working on civils projects, including groundworks, drainage, service/ductwork installation, and concrete.
2. Excellent knowledge of setting out using GPS and robotic EDM.
3. Ability to manage and ensure QA documents are completed correctly.
4. Experience carrying out Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
5. Competence in reading drawings and quantifying materials.
6. Excellent communication skills for distributing project information to colleagues.
7. Ability to ensure works are carried out according to the latest drawings and documents.
8. Teamwork skills to assist site management with materials, KPIs, progress reports, etc.
9. Maintain a daily site diary.
10. Problem-solving skills and the ability to raise potential issues promptly.
