Scottish Brain Sciences is a Life Sciences Company headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland. We deliver clinical trials for neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, translating research into practice (bench to bedside).

As our new Marketing and Communications Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of our marketing and communications strategy. You will collaborate across teams to align activities with organizational goals, support growth, and enhance our reputation as a leader in brain health innovation.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing an integrated marketing and communications strategy to support organizational goals, participant recruitment, business development, and stakeholder engagement
  • Managing all marketing, digital, and communications activities, ensuring brand consistency and effective messaging
  • Overseeing website and digital presence development and improvement
  • Planning and executing B2C and B2B marketing campaigns targeting diverse audiences locally, nationally, and internationally
  • Supporting fundraising efforts through marketing strategies for crowdfunding, Kickstarter, and donor campaigns
  • Building media relationships, preparing press releases, and managing media inquiries

The skills, experience, and qualifications required:

  • At least five years of experience in marketing and communications roles
  • Proven success in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies for diverse audiences
  • Strong digital marketing skills, including website management, SEO, social media, and content creation
  • Experience with fundraising or public engagement campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
  • Experience in line management and team development
  • Creative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • CIM or CIPR certification
  • Experience in start-up, scale-up, or SME environments
  • Experience with international marketing or brand expansion
  • Background in brain health, life sciences, or higher education sectors
  • Skills in design, video editing, or digital content production
