Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Kilmarnock

Shifts: Mon-Fri Days (Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:30, 13:30 Friday Finish)

Salary: £41,730 / £20.06 P/H

Hours Per Week: 40

Duration: Permanent

Start Date: Immediately

Company Summary:

A leading Rolling Stock Engineering Business offering refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul, engineering support, project management, and repair services to the UK rail and light rail sector.

Position Summary:
  1. Overhaul, maintenance, examination, and repair of rail vehicles and rolling stock.
  2. Stripping and building safety-critical components in accordance with technical drawings.
  3. Fault finding and repair on mechanical components such as bogies, brake actuators, axles, etc.
  4. Door gear removal, overhaul, refit, and testing.
Person Profile:
  1. Experience within an engineering background, ideally within rail/heavy vehicle maintenance.
  2. Ideally possess an NVQ Level 3 in engineering.
  3. Ideally have mechanical modification experience on rail vehicles or rolling stock maintenance experience.
