Job Description

We are currently seeking a Planner / Planning Engineer to work for a major civil engineering contractor on a multi-million pound civil infrastructure scheme in the Eastern region. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, award-winning contractor with a solid order book and continuous success over the years, working on multi-discipline civil schemes.

Candidate Criteria

• Main contract experience
• Progressed from an engineering background (Site Engineer, Section Engineer, Agent, etc.)
• Solid understanding of ASTA, P6, MS planning software
• Experience working on civil-related projects
• At least three years of planning experience, with additional years on site

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the successful delivery of fully logically linked programmes that comply with planning standards and client requirements.
• Provide input into project risk registers.
• Develop design and build programmes with detailed WBS structures and fully coded activities to support progress reporting for both Amco and the client.
• Develop and maintain excellent communication relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather progress information for project updates.
• Continuously monitor programmes to ensure they are updated to accurately reflect progress and revised forecasts, comparing them to baseline plans.
• Provide regular feedback and reports on project status to the delivery team.
• Provide detailed information on materials and plant to assist procurement teams.
• Identify resource requirements early to support recruitment planning.
• Ensure programmes include all contractual key milestones.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of planning and delivery teams.
• Act as an ambassador for the company with suppliers, stakeholders, customers, and the public.
• Support the successful delivery of the company's lifesaving rules.
