Birmingham City University is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Medical Ultrasound to lead innovative educational initiatives and support student development. New and exciting opportunities are available to join our diagnostic imaging and medical ultrasound course team at Birmingham City University. This role offers the chance to lead and influence the growth of your profession and the Midlands Imaging Training Academy. You will join an established, dynamic college supporting a diverse academic community with a track record of excellent education and high graduate employability.
We seek innovative, ambitious, and inspirational candidates to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant academic and clinical experience in Medical Ultrasound and have an in-depth understanding of the specialty to develop new knowledge. Candidates must show the ability to make independent decisions, plan, and prioritize their workload and that of others. This fixed-term role provides an opportunity to lead impactful educational and service innovations over 18 months.
The role requires experience in leading projects independently within a busy academic environment and effectively sharing knowledge with learners. Experience in leading or collaborating on research and enterprise projects is preferred. It is desirable for candidates to have experience establishing external partnerships and gaining external recognition.
The post holder will support teaching, learning, and assessment activities across the BSc and MSc Medical Ultrasound and Diagnostic Imaging programs, with a focus on sonography and advanced clinical practice.
