Join our growing Mortgage Product team as an Assistant Product Manager!
In this role within Mortgages & Financial Wellbeing, you'll collaborate with pricing teams and stakeholders to deliver product changes across our Owner Occupier and Landlord mortgage brands. You'll also investigate product development opportunities, analyse findings, and present them to the propositional development team.
As you gain experience, you'll become a subject matter expert (SME) on all things product-related. You'll not only lead product changes and development, but you'll also be expected to manage product incidents and policy queries. You'll play a key role in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time,

What youll be doing
As part of the Mortgage Product team, youll play a key role in implementing pricing strategies across our Owner Occupier and Landlord systems. Your accuracy and efficiency in delivering these changes will be instrumental in achieving our income targets and strategic goals.
Youll Be Responsible For
- Collaborating with pricing and propositional teams to establish delivery timelines
- Overseeing the entire mortgage product delivery process, from receipt of the pricing proposal to the customer selection within our systems
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to keep them informed about changes and progress
- Leading and assigning tasks to junior team members to ensure adherence to the delivery schedule
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of each stage of the process, aligned with the change framework
- Identifying and resolving any issues or incidents that may arise
- Partnering with development teams and testers to explore and validate product change ideas
- Presenting findings and recommendations to management and senior leaders
- Addressing mortgage policy inquiries
- Assisting internal and external auditors during control testing
About You
The minimum requirements for this role are:
- A strong background in change and implementation
- Experience in managing risks and controls
- Experience liaising with stakeholders at all levels to deliver recommendations on change
- A strong grasp of excel and an ability to use formulas to manipulate and analyse data
- Hands on experience of PowerBi with the ability to amend and refresh dashboards
- Experience of coaching and mentoring junior members of the team
- Able to confidently build relationships (both verbally and in writing) with stakeholders to relay information clearly as well as having a good eye for detail
