Location: Office based in Cambridge - Hybrid
Our client is a rapidly expanding chemical distributor looking for an Assistant Product Manager who will work closely with and support the Head of Product Management on product and development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate cost pricing and support the sales teams regarding all product-related matters.
- Liaise with suppliers and global product managers concerning product availability and price developments.
- Actively monitor price and market developments of the product portfolio.
- Oversee the supply chain of goods and ensure efficiency in all aspects of the process.
- Prepare demand forecasts in close dialogue with the sales teams and head of product management.
- Regularly liaise with operations regarding inventory levels at warehouses.
- Coordinate and organize sample management, liaising with sales and logistics on sample ordering and dispatch from supplier to warehouse.
Technical Skills
- Highly numerate; the ability to calculate pricing, margins, and costs is essential.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word, as well as Internet and email.
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience in an international trading and/or distribution environment, familiar with incoterms.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and work with business processes, policies, and priorities.
