Job Title: IT Practitioner – Application Support

Location: Barrow-in-Furness.We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £50,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Using specialist knowledge of CAD applications, you will liaise with end users and provide resolutions to resolve any issues
• You will be working closely with key Business and IT Stakeholders on product prioritisation
• You will manage aspects of the product lifecycle whilst enabling the Design products to meet the needs of end users
• Develop various test scenarios to ensure that new and updated processes deliver improved and efficient ways of working
• Provide effective knowledge transfer to other team members and 3rd parties as required

Your skills and experiences:

• You will need to have significant knowledge and experience of at least 1 major CAD tool (FORAN, NX)
• Be educated to HNC/Degree level or hold equivalent experience within Software Engineering or IT Engineering Principles
• Have gained experience within an Electrical Engineering background or environment
• You will need to hold a good level of experience in delivering objectives
• Experience of providing guidance with mentorship to junior members of the team

The Product Development CAD Support Team:

This role will give you a fantastic opportunity to join a small but dynamic Team of Application Support Engineers who provide expert support and input to the Design and Engineering communities across the boat programmes.

You will have the chance to hone existing application knowledge and skills as well as developing new skills in the latest, cutting-edge CAD applications. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
