Job description

Senior Database Marketing Analyst

Location: London or Swindon office


Role: Hybrid (2 days on site / 3 days remote)


Our Design & Delivery team plays a crucial role in our member 1-2-1 communications, collaborating closely with Planning, Creative, and Performance teams. We are seeking Senior Analysts to design and execute data selections for campaigns and to be experts in various channels, including email, mail, internet bank prompts, and SMS. This supports our member engagement strategy and helps achieve Society KPIs.


Reporting to a Design & Delivery Manager, you will manage 1-2-1 communications such as marketing, research, proactive service, and incident communications using our campaign selection tools.


This role offers diversity and engagement in a dynamic team environment, providing opportunities to contribute to projects that enhance our marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.


We promote hybrid working arrangements, combining office presence for collaboration and learning with flexible home working. Typically, you will spend at least two days per week in the office, or 40% of your time if part-time. Further details will be provided upon successful application.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design data selections for multi-channel campaigns, defining source requirements, target volumes, and criteria.
  2. Build and verify campaigns within our selection tools, taking accountability for the activities you design and deliver.
  3. Support team development, fostering a Centre of Excellence in interaction design and delivery.

About You

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience with data selection tools like PEGA CDH (preferably accredited Decisioning Consultant), Adobe Campaign, Unica Campaign, and familiarity with data sources for 1-2-1 communications.
  • Proven ability to build 1-2-1 campaigns across channels such as mail, email, and mobile banking/apps.
  • Experience working in fast-paced campaign environments.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of UK GDPR and PECR, especially regarding data governance and compliance.
  • Strong numeracy, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proactive decision-making, resilience, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience within the financial sector is preferred.
