PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGER

Our client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator, is seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager with decommissioning and subsea plug & abandonment (P&A) expertise.

The initial PAYE contract will last until the end of March 2026, with potential for long-term engagement for the right candidate.

The Project Delivery Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing project success and strategic decision-making within the Major Projects Department, focusing on decommissioning projects. Responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of contracting strategies for activities such as topside engineering, heavy lift vessel (HLV) preparations and removals, platform and subsea P&A, and subsea infrastructure removals.

Based in Aberdeen, the role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of decommissioning projects, establishing strong relationships with internal and external partners to support successful outcomes. Prior decommissioning experience is essential, along with extensive project management skills for both immediate and future decommissioning needs.

The role:

The Project Delivery Manager provides advice and support to improve project success and strategic decisions across the Major Projects Department, with a focus on:

• Developing and implementing contracting strategies for decommissioning activities.
• Leading interface management between internal teams and external contractors.
• Collaborating with the Decommissioning Manager for project planning and decision-making.
• Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Leading safety and resource management efforts, including team supervision and development.

• Knowledge of UKCS decommissioning regulations and best practices.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary team interfaces and contractors.
