Data Quality Issue Manager

The Position

We’re seeking the right candidate to enhance our Data Quality issue management capabilities, helping our consumers find global solutions to data problems impacting their business objectives.

Summary of the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Quality Issue Manager to join our Data Quality team. The successful candidate will locate, analyze, and resolve data quality issues across the organization. This role requires a proactive individual with strong relationship skills and a deep understanding of data governance and quality management principles.

Responsibilities
  1. Locate and Analyze Data Quality Issues: Proactively identify issues through consumer engagement, data profiling, monitoring, and analysis.
  2. Utilize tools and techniques: Assess data completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
  3. Develop and Implement Data Quality Solutions: Design improvement plans and remediation strategies, collaborating with data stewards, sources, and IT teams.
  4. Monitor Data Quality Metrics: Establish and review key metrics, providing reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Work with data sources, business units, and IT to understand and address data quality requirements. Facilitate workshops and training.
  6. Data Governance: Support governance frameworks and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation of issues, plans, outcomes, and prepare reports for senior management.
Requirements
  • Experience in a Data Quality role within the Financial Services sector, ideally resolving data issues
  • Solid understanding of IT Security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI, UKGC, Data Protection)
  • Strong communication skills with business and technical partners
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Advanced user and certification in Data Quality software (e.g., Collibra DQ, Informatica)
