About the Role
This is a rare and high-impact opportunity to work directly with a globally recognised entrepreneur and public figure at the intersection of business, media and personal brand. As Personal Publicist, you will be responsible for elevating the Founder’s reputation, communicating his vision, and protecting the brand across every public touchpoint. You will work in close daily collaboration with the Chief of Staff on all matters related to personal publicity, communications, and reputation.
This role requires someone highly connected, strategically sharp, and operationally reliable. You will liaise with consultants and agencies across the UK and US, manage on-the-ground activity in London, and implement clear systems and workflows to ensure consistency across channels and functions. You will play a critical role in integrating publicity strategy with marketing, social, events, partnerships, investments and philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Brand Strategy
- Build and execute a personal brand strategy in collaboration with the Founder, Chief of Staff and FlightStory, ensuring alignment with long-term goals, values and business strategy.
- Act as lead liaison between UK consultants and the US agency, ensuring continuity and consistency across markets.
- Serve as strategic quality control on tone, positioning and narrative across all external touch points.
- Work closely with the FlightStory team to align PR activity with wider marketing, content and social strategy.
- Keep the Founder’s personal websites up to date with news, interviews and achievements.
- Liaise with the social media team on the Founder's personal channels to ensure integration and cohesion of messaging. Help shape messaging and brand positioning for philanthropic and legacy initiatives.
Media Relations and Press Operations
- Maintain strong relationships with media across business, lifestyle, entertainment, emerging outlets and cultural platforms.
- Manage the press inbox, filtering and forwarding only high-quality, relevant opportunities.
- Coordinate all UK press activity for Founder's personal including interviews, features, panels, shoots, podcasts and media events.
- Be physically present at shoots, events, awards and interviews to oversee execution and provide real-time support.
- Liaise with stylists in the UK and US to ensure consistent personal presentation and readiness.
Issues and Reputation Management
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in advance of issues arising.
- Develop and execute communications plans during moments of crisis or reputational vulnerability.
- Collaborate with legal, PR and advisory teams on messaging, positioning and public response.
- Provide calm, clear and timely counsel in sensitive or high-stakes scenarios.
Operational Ownership and Workflow
- Build systems and processes to track opportunities, coverage, speaking engagements and deadlines.
- Create and maintain a central communications tracker across the Private Office, FlightStory and the broader portfolio.
- Draft briefing notes and concise summaries for the Founder to ensure he is always prepared and informed.
- Own all logistical coordination around press opportunities including diaries, approvals and cross-functional communication.
Events, Awards and Partnerships
- Build and execute a strategic calendar of awards, industry events, public appearances and recognitions aligned with personal brand growth.
- Project manage personal appearances and third-party events including strategy, preparation, logistics and post-event reporting.
- Develop brochures, decks, and external-facing assets to support appearances, press packs and brand partnerships.
- Explore and develop new partnerships, speaking platforms and opportunities for global brand elevation.
Strategic Brand Expansion and Legacy Projects
- Support the Founder and Chief of Staff in launching and promoting philanthropic ventures and social impact initiatives.
- Collaborate on early-stage creative and strategic development of TV, film and audio content concepts.
- Ensure all brand expansion initiatives are aligned to the overarching vision and values of the personal brand.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in publicity, preferably across personal publicity, entertainment, business leaders or creator brands.
- Proven track record managing and elevating the profile of high-profile individuals, with strong judgement and discretion.
- Extensive and up-to-date media contacts across national press, lifestyle, business, broadcast and new media.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to digest and relay large volumes of complex information clearly and quickly.
- Operationally sound with excellent organisational and project management skills. Comfortable liaising with stylists, consultants, producers, publicists, and agents across geographies and functions.
- Experience in issues management, crisis response and media training. High EQ and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work quickly, calmly and precisely in a high-performance environment. Deep alignment with the mission, tone and brand strategy of the Founder.
