Lead Software Developer - Guildford - Circa GBP70,000

My client is a technical consultancy firm seeking a Lead Software Developer with at least 3 years of software development experience, preferably in C/C++.

The role requires technical expertise and the ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop software for network security applications.
2. Create novel signal, image, or data processing applications in C/C++.
3. Develop user interfaces using HTML, Typescript, and Javascript.
4. Provide support and training to customers on software usage.
5. Mentor and lead team members.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 3 years of software development experience, preferably in C/C++.
• Experience with source control systems such as Subversion.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain complex systems.
• Understanding of clear and efficient software design principles.
• Familiarity with Linux system configuration and usage.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• First or 2:1 degree in a numerate discipline or a PhD.
• Strong academic background, including A's in A-level Maths and Physics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
