We can’t wait to open our first UK hotel outside of London… and where better than the characterful capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are now looking for an experienced Director of Finance to join our team and play a crucial role in successfully launching our brand in this new neighbourhood. Reporting to the General Manager and with a dotted line to the VP of Finance, you’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance and regulatory standards, monitoring and managing accounts, overseeing financial reporting for our hotel, and leading, mentoring, and developing the team to foster an environment where they can thrive and feel valued.

The Edinburgh Hox will feature 214 bedrooms inspired by the Georgian heritage of the building and city, including a new room category, a main restaurant, a large lobby & bar, a significant event space, and The Apartment — our unique meetings and events concept.

What You’ll Do…
  • Ensure robust financial management and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and produce financial reports.
  • Manage relationships with operations, finance teams, and owners.
  • Oversee balance sheets, P&L, cash management, and capital.
  • Provide insightful management reporting and analysis.
  • Deliver high-quality, relevant performance metrics and benchmarking.
  • Improve systems for efficiency and information accuracy.
  • Train users and optimize processes to eliminate non-value-adding tasks.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and strategic alignment.
  • Manage budgeting processes and develop the finance team.
  • Plan for succession and continuous team development.
