Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer

Location: Grays

Shift Pattern: Continentals 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off (6-6)

Salary: £55,000

We are seeking a motivated maintenance engineer to join a UK leading manufacturer. Reporting directly to the engineering manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production facility. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within the operation. The company offers progressive training and development, supporting employees in enhancing their skills, within a welcoming team environment. This position is ideal for a dedicated engineer seeking a challenging role within a secure and stable company.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Providing reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Responding to machine breakdowns
  • Working with sensors, drives, relays, inverters, robots
  • Maintaining conveyors, bearings, belts, chains, baggers, wrappers, pumps
  • Handling extrusion and blow moulding machinery
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations on site
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Maintenance experience
  • BTEC/NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification required
  • HNC/HND qualification desirable
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations desirable
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience in FMCG, heavy industry, or distribution advantageous
  • Mechanical and electrical experience preferred
