Job Opportunity: Engagement Coach

Prospero Teaching is seeking an Engagement Coach to support a school in Poole offering specialised academic and vocational programmes across KS3, KS4, and post-16. Our goal is to reduce barriers to learning and promote successful educational outcomes for all students.

Role Overview:

• Support student attendance and engagement, working directly with students in homes, schools, and community settings.
• Implement the EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) model to gradually reduce support while increasing student engagement.
• Work independently and collaboratively to support students, including facilitating access to online lessons.

• Salary: GBP 22,000 – GBP 25,000 (dependent on experience)
• Start Date: ASAP

Purpose of the Role:

1. Modify and adapt activities to support pupils' learning.
2. Deliver high-quality learning experiences using various teaching and support methods.
3. Assist students in accessing online learning as needed.
4. Assess, record, and report on student progress, using this information to challenge and extend learning.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Recent Safeguarding training (desired, but can be provided)
• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting
• DBS on the update service
• Full UK Driving Licence

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced child DBS registered with the update service or willingness to apply
• Two professional child-related references
